Job Description

Role Summary

The Curriculum Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing effective curriculum delivery across the state. This role requires leadership, information, direction, and support to teaching and educational support staff. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director and other stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of agreed programs and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Center Strategic Plan for improving teacher practice and student outcomes
  • Lead the integration of instructional practice in the effective teaching of science and mathematics learning areas
  • Support teachers and educators to improve their instructional practice across the state
  • Collaborate with Learning specialist and other teachers in the development and implementation of effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Represent VSSEC and Strathmore Secondary College in Teaching and Learning statewide Network meetings

Requirements

  • Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • Qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with the Director and other staff to achieve the goals of the role.
