Job Description

Mernda Central College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructional Leader to join our team. As a Learning Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, and will be responsible for mentoring and coaching teachers to improve their practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality teaching and learning programs
  • Mentor and coach teachers to improve their practice
  • Model exemplary classroom practice and provide feedback to teachers
  • Work with the school leadership team to develop a shared view of highly effective teacher practice
  • Lead and model the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery

Requirements:

  • Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • Experience in teaching and learning, with a focus on high-quality teaching and learning practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school leaders
