If you are a Licensed Florida Building Inspector looking to elevate your career in forensic structural evaluations and inspections, our Building Inspector role provides a fulfilling opportunity to work with esteemed clients across South Florida. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections and site assessments on restoration projects for both low-rise and high-rise buildings. You will also be tasked with documentation and daily field report preparation as necessary.
This position operates under a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.
Key Responsibilities
Additional Duties Include:
- Reviewing relevant plans and specifications.
- Inspecting and/or observing conditions related to restoration work.
- Documenting conditions through daily field reports.
- Coordinating with Supervisors and/or designated NV5 Engineers.
- Overseeing restoration activities on various building components, including cast-in-place concrete, post-tension reinforcing, concrete masonry unit construction, and waterproofing.
Qualifications
We encourage applications from candidates who possess the following experience and qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in building inspection, particularly in new construction, forensic evaluations, and/or concrete restoration services.
- A Florida General Contractor (GC) license is a plus.
- A degree in Engineering or Architecture is advantageous.
- OSHA Certification is beneficial.
