Imaging Services Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Imaging Services Supervisor to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of our imaging technologists, ensuring that assignments are completed and maintaining high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Promote department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members. Lead the activities of assigned imaging services team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
- Staff Management: Supervise, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate the performance of staff; ensure performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
- Operational Management: Prioritize, schedule, assign, and monitor work to optimize operational performance; ensure adequate inventory of supplies.
- Quality and Safety: Analyze, recommend, implement, and monitor approved work-flow changes. Maintain staff credentials and continuing education credits. Follow guidelines set forth by ACR and DOH, ensuring staff adherence to Quality and Infection Control guidelines and equipment maintenance according to state and federal guidelines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and ensure compliance to manufacturer specifications. Schedule equipment maintenance and repair.
- Training and Development: Participate in developing and delivering training related to modality. Participate in evaluating and implementing Performance Improvement related practices.
- Emergency Response: Function as a technologist and respond to emergency calls, as necessary.
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program, required.
- Current New York State Department of Health licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, required.
- R.T. (N) registration with American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) OR CNMT registration with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), required.
- Current R.T.(CT) registration with American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), OR NMTCB (CT) certification with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification, required.
- Prior experience in Nuclear Medicine, required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, preferred.
