We are in search of a skilled Quality Control Supervisor. This position holds significant responsibility for diligently monitoring, verifying, and documenting the conditions and findings of all jewelry pieces crafted and serviced. Your focus will be on optimizing operational efficiency and promoting effective communication within your team to maintain the integrity and quality standards of Le Vian.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee quality assurance audits and evaluations of jewelry items to confirm compliance with established benchmarks prior to their transition to the logistics department.
- Lead and perform diagnostic evaluations on jewelry products to ascertain adherence to set standards.
- Conduct thorough quality assessments of all jewelry and couture pieces produced in Le Vian workshops.
- Accurately document all diagnostic results, recommendations, and quality assessments, ensuring comprehensive records for future reference and accountability.
· Liaise with merchandising teams and management regarding product evaluations and necessary product dispositions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in jewelry manufacturing, quality assurance, or a related discipline, emphasizing product inspection (repairs and production), diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Jeweler trade education or Graduate Gemologist certification is advantageous.
- Capability to assess jewelry from both aesthetic and technical viewpoints, evaluating design features, craftsmanship, and technical soundness to determine overall quality and identify improvement opportunities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and succinctly.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with quality management software systems.
- Solid understanding of jewelry materials, production methodologies, and quality benchmarks.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect subtle flaws or imperfections in jewelry items.
- Exhibits reflexive critical thinking to effectively analyze and resolve issues.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
