Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized academic guidance to both current and prospective students through various communication methods including in-person meetings, virtual consultations, phone calls, and emails.

  • Proactively track the academic performance of assigned students, offering timely support and intervention as needed.

  • Document advising sessions in the university's student information system, adhering to best practices.
  • Stay informed about university policies, academic programs, and support services to provide accurate referrals.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department's mission.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. A Master's degree and experience in academic advising or related areas are preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Knowledge of academic advising principles and university policies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on interpersonal relations.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with student information systems.
