YOUR ROLE WITH VINCI:
- Execute tasks as directed by supervisors, managers, and project teams.
- Enhance your expertise and provide assistance to field Project Management, Business Development, Estimating Teams, and other operational areas as required.
- Engage actively in learning about: Contract management, claims management, and dispute resolution; materials, techniques, and tools involved in the construction or rehabilitation of commercial, public, industrial, or other related structures; and business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources management, and leadership strategies.
- Gain insights into construction repair projects across commercial, public, industrial, and utility sectors, and familiarize yourself with methods related to concrete, masonry, post-tensioning, and other necessary techniques.
- Assist in coordinating efforts such as job pre-planning, setup, crew assignments, change order management, resource allocation, quality assurance, scheduling, subcontractor and equipment management, material procurement, inventory oversight, and documentation generation.
- Manage all deliveries to the job site in collaboration with clients, Project Managers, Superintendents, and the Project Team.
- Participate in the Estimating process to understand all components and stages involved.
- Contribute to Business Development through involvement in various aspects of the process.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Field Leaders to comprehend project requirements and assist in developing and implementing solutions for changes.
- Support in preparing project estimates and bids, conducting site inspections, and preparing material and quantity takeoffs.
- Act as the primary contact for customers, attending all necessary site meetings and documenting, distributing, and tracking action items from team discussions.
- Engage actively in daily field operations to gain a thorough understanding of the work being performed.
- Draft formal correspondence and other written communications for clients and stakeholders.
- As a Project Engineer, you must uphold a strong Safety culture, demonstrating a commitment to safety that sets an example for others.
- Perform all tasks in strict adherence to required job site safety protocols, ensuring clear communication of expectations regarding our safety culture.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong documentation and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with basic knowledge of PowerPoint and plan-reading skills.
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test and wear a respirator on designated job sites. Preferred qualifications include prior internship or part-time experience in construction or design, and up to three years of full-time experience in the construction industry.
