As a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Street Legal Industries, Inc., you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including construction management and engineering design.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide professional and technical leadership guidance as a general project engineer.
- Manage contractor-executed construction projects on behalf of Street Legal Industries, Inc.
- Serve as the organizational subject matter expert regarding national standards and practices for mechanical or electrical engineering construction.
- Participate in design reviews and provide comments on contractor-submitted mechanical or electrical engineering designs and plans.
- Provide quality assurance oversight and documentation of such oversight.
- Recommend corrective actions to ensure high-quality performance on contractor-executed mechanical or electrical engineering projects or project tasks.
- Assist the appointed contracting officer's representative and/or resident engineer in interpreting and enforcing contractual provisions regarding contractor mechanical or electrical engineering requirements and deliverables.
- Recommend authorization of progress payments based on observed contract progress to established quality standards and specifications.
- Experience with mechanical equipment and features, including:
- Lock operating machinery and utilities
- Hydraulic fluid power systems, hydraulic controls, and valves
- Raw water pumps, plumbing, control valves, gate sprinklers, hose, and tubing
- Machine drive and power transmission for gears, drive shafts, couplings rods
- Lubrication systems for machine components
- Compressed air
- Sanitary systems
- Heating, ventilating, air conditioning for small buildings
- Fire protection systems
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with construction and/or engineering design.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any state in their respective field.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering.
