Street Legal Industries, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the role of Construction Project Engineer - Mechanical Systems.

This is a full-time position that requires working five days a week, Monday through Friday, at our office.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Street Legal Industries, Inc., you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including construction management and engineering design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional and technical leadership guidance as a general project engineer.
  • Manage contractor-executed construction projects on behalf of Street Legal Industries, Inc.
  • Serve as the organizational subject matter expert regarding national standards and practices for mechanical or electrical engineering construction.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide comments on contractor-submitted mechanical or electrical engineering designs and plans.
  • Provide quality assurance oversight and documentation of such oversight.
  • Recommend corrective actions to ensure high-quality performance on contractor-executed mechanical or electrical engineering projects or project tasks.
  • Assist the appointed contracting officer's representative and/or resident engineer in interpreting and enforcing contractual provisions regarding contractor mechanical or electrical engineering requirements and deliverables.
  • Recommend authorization of progress payments based on observed contract progress to established quality standards and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with mechanical equipment and features, including:
    • Lock operating machinery and utilities
    • Hydraulic fluid power systems, hydraulic controls, and valves
    • Raw water pumps, plumbing, control valves, gate sprinklers, hose, and tubing
    • Machine drive and power transmission for gears, drive shafts, couplings rods
    • Lubrication systems for machine components
    • Compressed air
    • Sanitary systems
    • Heating, ventilating, air conditioning for small buildings
    • Fire protection systems
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with construction and/or engineering design.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any state in their respective field.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering.
