Job Summary

As a Hospitality Supervisor at the University of New Hampshire, you will play a key role in ensuring exceptional guest service and a positive work environment. This is a hands-on, supervisory position that requires strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing levels to meet customer demands and service needs.
• Assume responsibility for covering staffing shortages and operational issues.
• Participate in food service activities, including preparation, handling, and service of food items.
• Complete inventory and order supplies to maintain par stock levels.
• Maintain accurate records, temperature logs, and other reports as needed.
• Ensure proper food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed.
• Perform cash handling, safe and drawer reconciliations, and daily deposits.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in a food service operation.
• Knowledge of food service techniques, sanitation, and safety.
• Two years related supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize.
• Familiarity with basic kitchen equipment and personal protective equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a college/university environment.
• Serv-Safe Certified or ability to become certified within 6 months.
• Public speaking/presentation skills.
• Cash handling experience.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office software package.
