Position Summary:
The Theatre Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing technical supervision and support across all facets of facilities and events managed by the UNH Department of Theatre and Dance. This role emphasizes training to ensure crowd safety and the implementation of safe working practices. The manager will supervise both front of house and backstage personnel, coordinating the utilization of theatre facilities for university and external events.
Minimum Education Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree is required.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is necessary.

A Bachelor's degree in technical theatre or a related field, along with at least four years of experience in various performing arts events. A solid understanding of technical theatre operations, including lighting, audio, video, and rigging, is essential. Supervisory experience is also required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical oversight and support for all theatre facilities, ensuring proper functioning of lighting, audio, video, and rigging systems.
- Supervise front of house operations and manage all public events within the facilities, ensuring crowd safety and adherence to safe working practices.
- Collaborate with producers and oversee the work of non-departmental users to ensure compliance with safety codes and university policies.
- Recruit, train, and supervise in-house theatre staff, including house managers and ushers, as well as technical crews for backstage operations.
- Coordinate the use of theatre facilities with various departments and external entities, participating in scheduling activities for all events.
