Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Hospital. As a pediatric pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing safe and effective medication therapy to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Patient-Centered Care: Provide pharmaceutical services throughout the hospital, working closely with medical and nursing staff to ensure optimal medication therapy for pediatric patients.
  • Medication Management: Maintain accurate medication profiles, review and interpret pediatric medication orders, and calculate dosages to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in multidisciplinary teams to discuss medication use, provide training to healthcare staff, and resolve any questions or concerns regarding medication orders or patient status.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement activities related to medication therapy, reviewing and evaluating medication systems to advance patient safety, maximize therapeutic outcomes, and control costs.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed in good standing as a pharmacist in the state of Missouri.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of pharmacist experience or 2 years of experience in a pediatric pharmacy setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric healthcare experience and 1-3 years of hospital experience.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, pulling, pushing, standing, carrying, and lifting of light loads (up to 35 lb.) as necessary.
