Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Pharmacist to join our team at McDonough District Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic recommendations and oversight of medications to patients and healthcare providers
  • Collaborate with patients, clinic providers, and nursing homes to exceed expectations for pharmacy care
  • Engage with customers and patients to provide a positive pharmacy experience
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • 1+ year relevant experience as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Intern preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
  • IL State Pharmacist License required without restrictions, or willing to transfer licensure if relocating from out-of-state
Preferred Qualifications
  • APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certification preferred, or willing to become certified as soon as possible
  • APhA Delivering Medication Therapy Management Services Certification preferred
  • Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding Experience a plus
