Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Highway Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our roadways. Your daily work activities will vary based on project needs, weather, and road conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as tandem dump trucks, loaders, and tractors
  • Plow snow, mow grass and weeds, and remove debris from roadways
  • Install and repair guardrails, highway markers, and signs
  • Filling potholes and roadway cracks
  • Setting out signs and cones for traffic control
  • Removing and covering graffiti
  • Installing pavement markings/striping
  • Stopping or slowing traffic in emergency situations
  • Maintaining equipment and performing minor repairs
Requirements
  • At least two years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience
  • Commercial Driver's License Class A or B with no restriction on air brakes that allows operation within Colorado
