Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing patients with high-quality diagnostic radiologic testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic procedures with x-ray equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Obtain and review patient history, including allergies and medical conditions.
  • Position patients correctly for exams, using proper technique to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Inform patients of delays and provide clear explanations of procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, reporting any supply needs to the tech in charge.
  • Assist radiologists during fluoroscopy and special procedures, adhering to sterile technique when required.
  • Process patients through the hospital/clinic and radiology information system, utilizing the PACS system effectively.
  • Review bulletin boards and mailboxes daily for important information and updates.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated clinical competency in radiology, with a strong understanding of patient safety and comfort.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and creativity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to handle special requests and projects, with a high degree of adaptability.
  • Ability to provide compassionate patient care, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Education and Experience
  • Associates degree in Radiology required, with additional education or experience considered.
  • 2 years of imaging-related experience preferred, with a strong background in radiologic technology.
Licensure and Certification
  • Active IN Radiologic Technologist License required, with ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Basic Life Support Certification required, with a strong commitment to patient safety and well-being.
