Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in the Cardiac Imaging Laboratory at The University of Chicago Medicine.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of patient care protocols and be able to perform nuclear medicine procedures with precision and accuracy.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge facility and contribute to the advancement of medical innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform nuclear medicine procedures as assigned, utilizing knowledge of patient care protocols and technical factors.
- Operate equipment according to manufacturer and UCH procedures, ensuring the safety of patients and co-workers.
- Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for administration and properly position patients for exams.
- Evaluate procedure results for technical quality and present previous exam(s) with current exam for initial review by physician.
- Work independently in assigned area as required, prioritizing the safety of patients and maintaining a clean and neat work environment.
- Requires satisfactory completion of formal Nuclear Medicine technology training in an AMA approved school.
- Requires eligibility for registry by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
- Requires eligibility for "Active" IDNS accreditation in the category of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
