We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at Insurance Administrative Solutions. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service, meeting or exceeding service standards.
  • Utilize applicable policy forms, insurance law, and internal procedures to answer inquiries and process requests from customers.
  • Thoroughly document telephone calls, changes, and written correspondence.
  • Answer incoming calls in accordance with quality standards, providing information to agents, applicants, or insured about the status of an application or policy.
  • Place outgoing calls to provide or obtain information.
  • Document all calls while in progress, using an online call documentation program.
  • Transfer or refer misdirected calls to the appropriate individual, department, or offices outside the company, using approved transfer and referral techniques.
  • Understand and utilize all resources available to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Process customer requests using internal and client-mandated procedures.
  • Produce correspondence to customers using approved letters, fully documenting policy files or image systems with all related material.
  • Communicate openly with supervisors and other team members to ensure accurate responses and avoid duplication of efforts.
  • Arrive to work and return from breaks and lunch as scheduled, demonstrating punctuality and dependability.
Requirements
  • Customer service experience in an office setting is required.
  • An insurance background is preferred.
  • PC, Windows, and Word experience are preferred.
  • Excel experience is a plus.
