Position: Field Support Technician

Overview:
Paladin Consulting is seeking a dedicated Field Support Technician to provide essential technical assistance and support. This role involves working directly with clients to ensure their systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver daily desktop support, addressing issues ranging from hardware troubleshooting to user setup and desktop reimaging.
  • Manage the operational activities at the designated site, including software and hardware maintenance, tape backups, telecommunication systems, and local area network management.
  • Provide level I & II support for end-users facing software and hardware challenges.
  • Oversee the functionality of the local area network.
  • Install and upgrade Microsoft Windows operating systems along with standard business applications and necessary peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve desktop virus and malware incidents.
  • Ensure daily backups of all network files are maintained.
  • Conduct service administration tasks for software and hardware to uphold manufacturer warranties.
  • Resolve software and hardware issues through systematic debugging, testing, and collaboration with vendors.
  • Perform inventory checks for software and hardware assets.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required; 10+ years is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A+ PC Technician certification; Network + and Dell Hardware certifications are advantageous.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting PC hardware, Windows operating systems, Outlook/365, and web browsers.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, demonstrating a sense of urgency and clear communication.
  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing incoming ticket requests in a fast-paced environment, with strong engagement with end-users.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, correspondence, and memos, with a focus on clarity.
  • Experience in routine reporting and maintaining data integrity.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud troubleshooting (InDesign and Photoshop) is preferred.
  • Experience in the financial or medical sectors is preferred.
