Electrical Foreman Job Description

The Electrical Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing the activities on the worksite, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities to team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making adjustments as needed due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.
  • Team Management: Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Reporting and Communication: Regularly report project status to Project Managers, providing updates on progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Attendance and Work Management: Manage and monitor attendance and work for laborers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all safety precautions and quality standards are met, conducting regular job hazard analyses and tracking quantities.
  • Training and Development: Supervise and train new laborers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience in concrete preferred, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and construction practices.
  • Travel: Travel to and from job sites with occasional overnight stays, with transportation and hotel provided by the company.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organization and planning skills, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and professionally.
Working Conditions:
  • Job Site Environment: Job sites that are hot in the summer and cold in the winter, hazardous, noisy, and dusty, with occasional work in a warehouse environment.
