About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at the Walbec Group. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the completion of complex electrical projects within our organization. This role requires strong leadership skills, a focus on safety and ethics, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe and ethical work environment for all employees.
  • Organize and monitor subcontractor work, and perform field work as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in asphalt and aggregate plants.
  • Develop and maintain electrical P.M. programs.
  • Find and establish relationships with qualified subcontractors.
  • Monitor subcontractor work, manage project timelines, and report progress as needed.
  • Read and understand electrical codes and design specifications to effectively monitor job cost estimates and related reports.
  • Assist with electrical design and troubleshooting of manufacturing facility equipment.
  • Support asphalt plant operations, including control systems.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to create and maintain safety interlock procedures and temperature probe calibrations.
Requirements
  • Training and certification/licensing in the electrical field with a strong understanding of electricity and components related to asphalt and aggregate plants.
  • Working knowledge of electrical code guidelines and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, as well as consulting, conflict management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
  • Self-directed and motivated with the ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Skills
  • 2-5 years of experience performing electrical installation and maintenance within construction or manufacturing environments in the Asphalt and Aggregate Industry.
  • General construction industry knowledge with some exposure to heavy/highway construction.
  • Experience in a vertically integrated construction materials organization.
