About the Role

City Barbeque is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Catering Field Manager to join our team. As a Catering Field Manager, you will play a critical role in planning, scheduling, and executing full-service and drop-off catering events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule, coordinate, and supervise hourly teammates and catering associates who assist in the execution of catering/drop-off events.
  • Event Execution: Substitute for the Catering Operations Manager as lead person/manager-on-duty for all full-service events as needed. Ensure that catering experiences are stress-free for clients by guaranteeing that orders are on time and correct, and that catering associates are adequately prepared to set up and execute events.
  • Staffing and Training: Work with the Catering Operations Manager to plan for staffing needs. Interview as needed and provide input to the Catering Director about selections and potential hires.
  • Administrative Tasks: Organize and maintain drop sheets for the week, updating them throughout the week as new orders are created. Ensure that drop sheets are posted in the prep area and correctly match invoices and schedules. Complete all paperwork for events, including invoices and drop sheets.
  • Communication: Communicate with restaurant management ahead of time regarding orders that have special items (e.g. fruit trays, veggie trays, cheese trays, etc.) for proper ordering. Communicate with restaurant management regarding any catering paper product that is needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all catering equipment, assigned catering areas, and catering vehicles are kept clean and organized at all times. Monitor catering associates to ensure they are adhering to cleanliness standards after events.
  • Other Duties: Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license for at least two years and have reliable transportation.
  • Motor Vehicle Background Check: Must pass a Motor Vehicle Background check.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit positive verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Time Management: Possess good time management and organization skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work with a schedule that changes and is updated daily.
  • Expectation of Excellence: Has an expectation of excellence and shows integrity to do the right thing when unsupervised.
