About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Research Analyst to lead research projects, shape campaign strategy and execute campaign tactics in partnership with SOC and affiliate organizing, research, legal, and communications staff.

This position involves contributing to innovation in the SOC's approach to research and campaign strategy, developing and testing new tools, theories and strategies in coordination with SOC leadership, examining market and industry trends, analyzing the strategies of key market players and tracking relevant policy and legislative developments.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute comprehensive research plans
  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research using a wide variety of resources and methodologies
  • Draft and edit written work products for a wide range of internal and external audiences
  • Coordinate, review and support the research and written work of junior analysts assigned to specific projects
  • Provide feedback to team members in support of their skill and professional development
  • Participate in campaign field activities with unions, workers and coalition partners

Our compensation and benefits package is highly competitive:

  • Salary: $83,561 - $91,309 per year
  • 100% employer-paid health coverage

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree or higher, at least 4 years of conducting research, including financial and corporate research, and 3+ years of experience with union, political or community organizing. Spanish and/or other non-English language skills are a plus.
