About the Opportunity

Orbis Operations seeks a seasoned Management Consultant to lead qualitative research and program evaluation activities for a client in the US Defense Community. This multi-year project offers a unique chance to demonstrate intellectual agility, design research initiatives, collect and analyze data, and implement recommendations that enhance the client's mission delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute research designs with practical strategies for evaluating strategic communications in the US Defense Community.
  • Apply operational expertise to enhance the client's planning, design, and implementation of various projects.
  • Design and conduct survey research, including sample identification, instrument development, survey distribution, and response analysis.
  • Analyze both qualitative and quantitative information to provide comprehensive insights into organizational strengths and challenge areas.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership based on research plans, activities, findings, and recommendations.
  • Brief senior-level customers on research plans, status of activities, findings, and recommendations.
  • Generate operational proposals based on findings and recommendations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree in business, social science, or behavioral science is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a role within the US Defense space.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Ability to extract insights from social media and various open source and proprietary data sources to produce finished intelligence products.
  • Experience developing presentations and providing briefings to middle and senior management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including visual representation of data using charts and graphs.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform in an individual contributor role while also excelling in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading program evaluation activities.
  • Experience with survey design and analysis.
  • Ability to analyze information and identify implications for policy, processes, communications, and training.
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical concepts.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. You will also participate in routine video conferences and in-person meetings, as well as attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region.
