Chief Operating Officer Job Description

Select Specialty Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead our critical illness recovery hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital and driving strategic growth and improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the hospital's clinical services, including case management, medical staff relations, and marketing.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Collaborate with the hospital's leadership team to achieve business objectives and drive growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
  • Develop and manage the hospital's budget, including financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in a healthcare leadership role, preferably in a critical illness recovery hospital or acute care setting.
  • Proven track record of success in driving strategic growth, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing the overall quality of care.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
