AI Quality Assurance Specialist

Descript is seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Specialist with a strong focus on detail and a background in evaluating AI systems to ensure the utmost quality and dependability of our innovative AI-driven solutions that transform how content creators engage with audio and video.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the AI research team to grasp project specifications, formulate testing strategies, and execute comprehensive evaluations of AI algorithms and functionalities to pinpoint issues and enhancement opportunities.
- Set benchmarks, standards, and quality assessment frameworks that consistently reflect model performance.
- Design and expand our criteria for both quantitative and qualitative assessments of AI systems.
- Produce and uphold precise documentation, including testing strategies, test scenarios, and defect reports.
- Utilize internal and external resources to gather preference testing data.
- Evaluate and liaise with third-party service providers to ensure they meet our quality benchmarks.
- Continuously refine testing methodologies, processes, and tools to boost efficiency.
- Guide QA Engineers across various teams in testing AI systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and product managers, to guarantee seamless integration and an optimal user experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- At least 2 years of experience leading the testing or evaluation of AI systems.
- A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within a testing team, product area, or feature.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with AI research teams.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries.
- Familiarity with Python for scripting tasks.
