The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse is a key member of our integrated lab team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a per diem registered nurse, you will work closely with our team to provide exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing care to designated patients under the direction of the Director and/or designee.
- Function as a team leader and facilitator, providing effective communication with other healthcare team members.
- Closely monitor patients for complications, administer medications, including moderate sedation, and document procedures.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel and may precept student nurses and new hires.
- Work in a critical care environment, taking appropriate action while maintaining a fast-paced environment.
- Take call for emergent procedures with on-call arrival time requirement of 30 minutes.
- Understand and follow hospital policy and procedures.
- Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire
- At least one year of nursing experience in the critical care setting (e.g., ICU, ED, Trauma)
- Prefer three years of critical care experience
- Prefer prior experience in procedural areas (e.g., Cath/IR/EP/Neuro)
