Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardio Lab

Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular team. As a Registered Nurse in our Cardio Lab, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse - Cardio Lab will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of the Director and/or designee. This includes functioning as a team leader and facilitator, providing communications with other health team members, and closely monitoring patients for complications.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications, including moderate sedation, and document procedures
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education
  • Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel
  • May precept student nurses and new hires
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action while working in a critical care environment
  • Understand and follow hospital policy and procedures
Qualifications
  • Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
  • Current BLS certification
  • ACLS certification within 3 months of hire
  • At least one year of nursing in the critical care setting (ie. ICU, ED, Trauma)
  • Prefer three years critical care experience
  • Prefer prior experience in procedural areas (i.e. Cath/IR/EP/Neuro)
