Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Patient Experience Representative to join our Learning Disabilities Department within Neurology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Encounter Management:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to support unit operations
- Collaborate with referring providers and practices to ensure seamless patient care
- Obtain necessary authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules
- Schedule patients and support the patient encounter process
- Check In / Check Out:
- Greet and direct patients, families, and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Monitor daily schedules and coordinate flow with clinicians and supervisors
- Reconcile payments and prepare deposits, providing accurate records in Hospital systems
- Facilitate and direct communication with Financial Counseling
- Administrative:
- Record and forward messages, triage calls for urgent information or services, and initiate emergency services as needed
- Provide routine clerical support as required
- A high school level of education, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Prior customer service or administrative experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide empathy in challenging situations
- Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external constituencies
