Job Title: Workers Compensation Specialist

IMT Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Workers Compensation Specialist to join our team. As a Workers Compensation Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and determining the extent of IMT's liability concerning workers' compensation claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate claims as reported and determine injured workers' eligibility for workers' compensation benefits
  • Administer medical and indemnity benefits for valid workers' compensation claims
  • Interact with various parties involved in the claim process
  • Prepare necessary state filings within statutory limits
  • Review established claims periodically to prompt action and closure of the claim file
  • Provide exceptional customer service to those contacted in the course of work
  • Collaborate with insureds, agents, underwriting, loss control, and others to prevent or mitigate frequency/severity of claims
Requirements:
  • A college education or equivalent and 1-4 years direct Workers' Compensation Claim handling experience is required
  • Ability to interpret, explain, and apply worker's compensation laws and administrative rules and regulations
  • Ability to analyze complex data, including medical reports, and make appropriate decisions
  • Ability to read and problem solve
  • Ability to pay close attention to details
  • Ability to listen and communicate to the customer, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to operate standard office computer systems
  • Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market
Benefits and Perks:

IMT Insurance offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, AD&D insurance, 401K retirement savings accounts, spending accounts, long and short-term disability, profit share, employee assistant program, and additional voluntary benefits. The salary range for this position is $45,000.00 - $91,000.00, and starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience.

Fully remote work involves important payroll and legal considerations for the company. IMT has identified eligible states of residence for continued employment with IMT. Eligible states include Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.
