Job Title: Assistant General Counsel

Strategic Education is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide legal advice and support to our business units, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and draft contracts with vendors, consultants, and other third parties.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and manage contracts.
  • Investigate legal issues and recommend actions to protect the company's interests.
  • Provide legal and compliance training to in-house clients.
  • Assist with litigation and administrative proceedings involving contracts and commercial disputes.
Requirements:
  • At least three years of experience in the practice of law.
  • Experience in negotiating and drafting contracts preferred.
  • Experience with contract management software preferred.
  • Bar admission in one or more of the following jurisdictions: Virginia, Minnesota, Maryland, or Washington, DC.
