Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior In-House Counsel to join our team at Strategic Education. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and guidance to our business teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and draft various contracts, including agreements with vendors, consultants, and technology providers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with litigation and administrative proceedings involving contracts and commercial disputes.
  • Investigate legal issues and recommend action to protect the Company's interests.
  • Provide legal and compliance training to in-house clients.
Requirements
  • At least three years of experience in the practice of law.
  • Experience in negotiating and drafting contracts preferred.
  • Experience with contract management software preferred.
  • Bar admission in one or more of the following jurisdictions: Virginia, Minnesota, Maryland, or Washington, DC.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance and punctuality. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and travel up to 10% of the time.
