We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated physician scientist to join our team at the University of Virginia Health System. As a Clinician Investigator, you will have the opportunity to conduct rigorous research and develop a successful research program, securing independent funding to support your efforts.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a productive and independently functioning research program, including serving in active leadership roles for clinical trials
- Build productive research collaborations with clinician and basic scientist colleagues in Radiology and other departments, centers, and institutes at UVA
- Secure sustained funding from the NIH and/or other federal funding sources for your research program and efforts
- Enhance the national recognition and reputation of the individual, division, department, and institution
Approximately 50% of your effort will involve clinical work in the Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging division, including call coverage. You will be expected to teach medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as technical, nursing, and administrative support staff. Approximately 5% of these efforts should be attributed to the development, organization, and delivery of more formal teaching.

Qualifications:- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Eligible for Virginia State Medical Licensure
- Board eligible or certified in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine
- Successful track record in clinical, translational, or basic science research
