Academic Physician-Scientist in Gynecologic Oncology

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified academic physician-scientist to join our team as an Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will provide excellent clinical care, advance research in women's health, and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.

Division Overview

Our division is comprised of 6 physicians, 3 APPs, a pharmacist, and 6 Clinical Research Coordinators. We provide a full range of care in gynecologic oncology, including inpatient and outpatient care, surgery, chemotherapy, and subspecialty consultations.

Research and Education

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the division's research and education mission. This includes advancing research in women's health, mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, and participating in the development of educational programs.

Qualifications
  • MD or equivalent/PhD by appointment start date
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Research experience at the junior level
  • Published research in clinical and/or translational science
