Open Rank Physician Scientist in Hematology and Oncology

The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Virginia, is seeking a talented Physician Scientist to join our team. This is an open rank position, offering a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to contribute to our clinical research efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 25-30% clinical effort and 70-75% research effort
- Enroll patients into clinical trials via translational research opportunities and resources available at the University
- Attend inpatient and outpatient services and participate in multidisciplinary team care and clinical research within the Cancer Center
- Actively participate in the teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students
Candidates must have a MD or equivalent and be board-certified in Internal Medicine by appointment start date. Board-eligibility or Board-certification in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology is required.
