Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at HIGH COUNTRY COMMUNITY HEALTH INC. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth patient access and efficient scheduling processes.

Salary: $15-$17 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and medical records
  • Scan and link insurance cards to patient charts
  • Update new paperwork annually
  • Process applications and calculate household income for SFS applicants
  • Capture patient photographs and distribute questionnaires as needed
  • Answer phone calls professionally and send messages to staff
  • Schedule appointments and remind patients of upcoming visits
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  • Post payments and check eligibility for walk-in patients
  • Review insurance eligibility and address errors at each visit
  • Scan paper documents into patient charts
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical setting, preferably in a scheduling role
  • Proficient medical terminology skills
Performance Requirements:
  • Knowledge of medical practice protocols and manual/computerized scheduling systems
  • Effective communication skills with providers and Medical Assistants
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
