Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at Eataly North America. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling payment and ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payment Processing: Collect cash, checks, or charge payments from guests and provide change and charge vouchers as needed.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Verify the accuracy of cash bank by counting cash, checks, and charge payments at the end of each shift.
  • Price Changes and Updates: Obtain and review information regarding price changes to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Employee Discounts and Returns: Verify employee discounts, returns, exchanges, and voids with the assistance of the manager or shift lead.
  • Store Maintenance: Return carts and baskets to their central distribution areas, take back go-backs/damages, fix displays, help restock, and support team members.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Math and Cash-Handling Skills: Possess basic math skills and cash-handling abilities.
  • Cash Register Knowledge: Have a basic understanding of cash register functions.
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Job Requirements:

  • Physical Demands: Ability to remain stationary for periods of up to 8 hours.
  • Mobility: Ability to bend and stoop on occasion.
  • Guest Interaction: Ability to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position pays a base rate of $16 per hour.
