PROGRAM: Addiction Recovery Services

JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The Recovery Support Technician II will provide essential peer support to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE:
- High School Diploma or GED; Kentucky Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred
- Valid Kentucky Driver's License and current automobile insurance required
- Preferred candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated, successful recovery experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- A deep understanding and respect for individual recovery journeys
- Knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system and a commitment to the recovery community
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain accurate project logs, reports, and records.
2. Educate service recipients on the recovery journey phases.
3. Serve as a role model demonstrating that recovery is achievable.
4. Assist individuals in identifying personal interests and recovery goals.
5. Coach individuals in developing personalized recovery plans.
6. Facilitate the transition from professionally directed plans to self-directed recovery strategies.
7. Promote self-advocacy and ensure individuals' needs are prioritized.
8. Identify and connect individuals with community resources supporting their recovery goals.
9. Foster connections to community-based mutual self-help groups.
10. Collaborate with community groups and agencies to enhance support networks.
11. Identify barriers to community participation and strategize solutions.
12. Maintain ongoing contact with individuals post-program for continued support.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
