About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Vice President to lead our Human Resources team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive business results and enhance the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the university's goals and objectives
  • Lead a team of HR professionals to provide exceptional service to employees, managers, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to drive business outcomes and improve organizational performance
  • Design and implement HR programs and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective use of resources
  • Stay up-to-date with changing laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant HR policies and procedures
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in HR leadership, with a proven track record of success in a senior management role
  • Expert knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and laws, including Title VII, ADA, and FLSA
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Experience with HR technology and systems, including HRIS and talent management software
