We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medication Aid (CMA) to join our team at Galveston County Jail in Texas. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in delivering quality care to our patients and upholding the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.


**Job Summary**


The successful candidate will have a current and valid CMA certificate, experience in correctional or behavioral healthcare settings, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Responsibilities:**


  • Deliver high-quality patient care consistent with local state practice acts and regulations;
  • Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care;
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and medication administration;
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments;
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes and promote a positive work environment.

**Requirements:**


  • Certificate as a Certified Medication Aid (CMA);
  • Experience in correctional or behavioral healthcare settings (desired but not required);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion;
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
