As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to help diagnose and treat patients.
Responsibilities:
* Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis
* Maintain accurate records of testing, quality control, and maintenance
* Participate in quality management and accreditation processes
* Collaborate with clinicians and laboratory personnel to ensure accurate and timely test results
* Instruct patients on proper collection procedures
* Participate in the evaluation and development of new or improved test systems
Requirements:
* Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent certification) or equivalent education
* Previous recent experience in laboratory science preferred
* Good communication skills and ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making in problem identification and resolution
* BLS certification within 90 days of hire
