About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator (Heavy Civil) to join our team at Rawso Constructors. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects, working closely with our project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate estimates and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and proposal creation for heavy civil construction projects
  • Proposal tracking and customer follow-up to ensure timely and accurate project delivery
  • Project and job cost setups, including project handoff from pre-construction to construction
  • Contract negotiations and redlining to ensure fair and equitable agreements
  • Establish project schedule baselines to ensure timely project completion
  • Onboarding projects, including folder and file setups, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Subcontractor and vendor solicitation to ensure access to the best resources and services
  • Linear takeoffs and earthwork volume takeoffs to ensure accurate project estimates
  • Sales and business development for potential new projects to drive business growth
  • Professional communication with general contractors, owners, and municipality representatives to ensure smooth project execution
  • Collaboration and communication with team members to ensure successful project outcomes
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction
  • Minimum 2 years of college, preferably in a construction-related field
  • Experience in heavy civil construction-related projects, including experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Building Connected, Bluebeam, Planswift, Microsoft Suite, and Agtek
  • Ability to read plans and understand project requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivation, calm under pressure, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Positive attitude and team player mentality
