Your Opportunity:

We're seeking an Estimator to join our team in East Rutherford, NJ. As an Estimator, you'll be responsible for processing quotes for multiple product lines, maintaining a balance between company profitability and securing orders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Respond to quote requests from the sales group and Customer Service department
  • Review and prepare responses to RFPs and large direct opportunities
  • Understand cost pricing structures, including material costs, spoilage, and make-ready
  • Continually evaluate processes and procedures
  • Develop effective working relationships with Sales Management, BDMs, Sales Representatives, and vendors
  • Work with CSR's, AM's, and Sales Reps to understand customer requirements
  • Research products to ensure knowledge and best vendor pricing
  • Determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints
  • Estimate job costs and apply the appropriate markup
  • Maintain estimating systems, close quotes, and deactivate old quotes
  • Research suppliers and negotiate vendor costs
  • Quote alternative items to meet requirements and secure orders
  • Plan work to be cost-efficient through the plant and outside vendors
  • Follow up and communicate quote status to Sales Reps or CSR/AM
  • Improve processes and cost efficiencies

Your Shift:

  • Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
  • Onsite at 180 E Union Ave, East Rutherford, NJ 07073

You Must Have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of related experience and/or training
  • Advanced negotiation skills and knowledge of press capabilities and printing procedures
  • Basic understanding of the print process and paper knowledge
  • Knowledge of computerized estimating systems, including Monarch and Kodak Upfront Production Planning Software
  • Understanding of page layouts, press laybacks, and other related concepts
  • Strong math skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with diverse personalities
  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and accountability
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and excellent computer skills
  • Proficient in Excel and problem-solving skills

  • College degree
