Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Military Medic and Corpsman Program/Clinical Care Technician. This role requires a unique blend of clinical and technical skills, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental illness, substance abuse issues, and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and report changes in patients' medical and psychiatric status
  • Participate in training and education programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Eligible candidates will be transitioning US military service members to include US Guard and Reserves that are eligible for or on terminal leave, or other than dishonorably discharged veterans who served in the capacity of a medic, medical technician or corpsman
  • Valid Virginia driver's license
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work ANY shift, weekends and overtime hours
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to walk and/or stand a minimum of 75% of time while on shift
  • Ability to administer CPR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing direct care to individuals with mental illness, substance abuse issues, and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • Bilingual
