Job Overview

The Spa Therapist and Esthetician is tasked with delivering exceptional massage therapies, skincare treatments, and body services to guests while demonstrating leadership capabilities within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with the operational standards of Proper Hospitality.
  • Administer massage, facial, waxing, and body treatments that align with established service protocols and exceed guest expectations.
  • Evaluate guest conditions to identify any contraindications that may hinder service delivery.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the treatment process.
  • Implement universal safety precautions while performing services.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize all equipment in accordance with health guidelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all spa offerings and product ingredients, articulating their benefits to guests in a professional manner.
  • Recommend additional treatments and upsell products and services to enhance guest experience.
  • Adhere to scheduled treatment times, ensuring punctuality at the start and conclusion of services.
  • Follow established procedures to keep work areas organized and hygienic.
  • Communicate product inventory needs to the Spa Director or management team.
  • Document client interactions and treatment notes as necessary.
  • Complete all assigned tasks and side duties efficiently.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and ongoing professional development.
  • Report any incidents or safety concerns to management promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of spa facilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid state license in massage therapy with a minimum of 750 hours of training, along with a valid esthetician license.
  • Demonstrated experience in massage, skincare, waxing, and body treatments.
  • Prior customer service experience, ideally within a spa or hospitality environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability to work during operational hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Physical capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds regularly.
