Additionally, you will report critical values to the appropriate person and complete required documentation. You will work in a fast-paced environment, responding to stat orders and assisting others with workload fluctuations. You will also be responsible for maintaining records in a complete, accurate, and legible manner. You will assist with the orientation of new staff members, students, residents, and fellows as directed. You will assume the duties required for the smooth operation of the laboratory.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Perform and evaluate complex laboratory tests in various areas of the clinical laboratory
* Work with minimal supervision, using your in-depth understanding of complex precision instruments and automated equipment
* Develop and modify procedures and programs to ensure the accuracy of tests
* Perform quality control procedures, document results accurately, and follow through on outliers
* Report critical values to the appropriate person and complete required documentation
* Maintain records in a complete, accurate, and legible manner
* Assist with the orientation of new staff members, students, residents, and fellows as directed
* Assume the duties required for the smooth operation of the laboratory

**Requirements:**

* Baccalaureate degree in a science required
* CLIA eligible for High Complexity Testing
* MT(ASCP) or equivalent preferred
* 3-5 years in a hospital laboratory experience preferred
