About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychometrist to join our interdisciplinary clinical research program on Alzheimer's disease, related dementias, and healthy aging at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering standardized cognitive tests to elderly research participants and patients at the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) at the UCI Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND).

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer routine and complex batteries of neuropsychological tests to patients and participants in varying clinical research studies
  • Score psychometric tests and interview patients/participants and caregivers to collect data
  • Assist with screening and scheduling of patients/participants
  • Work collaboratively with licensed Clinical Psychologists specializing in Neuropsychology
Requirements
  • Graduation from college with a major in psychology or a closely related field, including training in administering and scoring individual and group psychological tests
  • Experience in research and data collection, particularly with elderly populations
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy guidelines and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year experience in the administration and scoring of neuropsychological tests
  • Experience working with both healthy and cognitively impaired elderly adults
  • B.A./B.S. in the field of psychology or a related field, with experience in testing of demented, memory-impaired, and/or geriatric clients
