Job Summary:

As a Medical Support Specialist at Cahaba Medical Care Foundation, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist our providers and nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care. This will involve triaging patients, taking vital signs, and documenting patient care in our electronic medical record system. You will also be responsible for completing patient paperwork, including prior authorizations and medical supply paperwork. Additionally, you will assist our providers with performing exams, ordering laboratory tests, and reconciling medications. Your excellent communication skills and ability to multitask will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities:

Triage patients and take vital signs
Document patient care in electronic medical record system
Complete patient paperwork, including prior authorizations and medical supply paperwork
Assist providers with performing exams, ordering laboratory tests, and reconciling medications
Communicate with patients, providers, and other healthcare staff to ensure seamless care delivery
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

Satisfactory completion of CMCF Medical Assistant Training Program
Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required
Experience in a medical office desired
Excellent customer service and phone communication skills
Basic experience with computers
Ability to manage time, multitask, and handle high stress environments
Prompt, regular attendance at the clinic
