Job Title: Medical Biller

At Cahaba Medical Care, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our revenue cycle operations.

Job Summary:

The Medical Biller will be responsible for generating revenue by entering charges, submitting claims to payers, posting remits, working rejections, and reviewing/working accounts receivable. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter charges daily and submit claims to insurance companies and government entities
  • Post remits as available and work rejections and accounts receivable
  • Collect delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients and monitoring payments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient accounts and billing information
  • Process professional office visits and specialty services, including filing claims and posting payments
  • Maintain quality results by following standards and assuring daily productivity through diligent work effort
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of recent medical billing experience
  • CH-CBS Certification (Community Health - Coding and Billing Specialist) preferred
  • Functional with billing software and other internet applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
