Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at Brightpath Associates LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining data integrity, managing inventory levels, and ensuring on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Procurement: Issue accurate and complete Purchase Orders with sufficient lead time to meet need by date.
  2. Maintain Purchase Orders; keep POs updated with current information (due dates, price changes, quantity changes)
  3. Provide requisite lead time on Purchase Order when issued unless an expedited due date is agreed upon by the supplier.
  4. Analyze sales data, usage, and forecasts to determine inventory needs.
  5. Source and negotiate contracts with vendors for the purchase of materials and supplies.
  6. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to minimize Back Orders and overstocking.
  7. Coordinate with AP and receiving to ensure accuracy and timely product availability.
  8. Vendor Management: Maintain strong, positive relationships with key vendors.
  9. Working knowledge of supplier policies, terms, and conditions.
  10. Proactively addresses and resolves any supplier issues.
  11. Cost Control: Securing the best possible pricing on purchases.
  12. Minimize freight costs.
  13. Identify opportunities for cost savings in procurement processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software (WMS).
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with logistics and transportation management.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Good decision-making ability.
  • High school diploma or GED.
