Job Title: Flight Test Engineer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to establish and execute the Test Program for a new Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform UAS flight tests to validate system performance and safety
  • Document test results and develop comprehensive test reports
  • Lead UAS test programs and ensure safe operations
  • Design and write test procedures to validate system functionality
  • Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure successful test execution
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 10+ years of experience
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Advanced knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration
  • Demonstrated experience planning, conducting, and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of UAS operations in National Airspace and regulations thereof
  • Current FAA 107 RPIC certificate
  • Private Pilot license with FAA Class 3 medical
  • UAS Flight Instructor experience providing training and instruction to flight test engineers, operators, and other personnel
