- Lead larger complex projects with a mid to long-term horizon.
- Set strategic directions for technology and lead significant process optimization programs.
- Lead product specification optimization and SPC program implementation.
- Develop and lead 6 sigma CI improvement initiatives.
- Develop tech packages for capital projects and scale up risk assessments.
- Lead quality investigations and raw material quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide leadership for Process Safety Management (PSM) elements, including Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), and Risk Control Initiative (RCI).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 5-7 years of experience in chemical/process manufacturing areas.
- Strong technical, analytical, and functional skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Experience and knowledge in the manufacture of oriented film-extrusion, conveyance, and distillation.
- Demonstrated expertise in film processing and handling equipment, including extrusion, transport rolls, clutches, winders, tension control, web surface treaters, vision systems, and roll slitters.
- Demonstrated knowledge of chemical processes and methodologies applicable to a manufacturing setting.
- Proven ability to drive timely and effective results while positively influencing others.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot chemical processes and plan, prioritize, and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence leadership, peers, and mechanics.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and a high-volume workload with shifting and competing priorities.
- Experience with Process Safety Management and effective verbal and written communication skills.
